Our Schema Reviews & Ratings system is a very feature rich system you can use to collect & display reviews and/or ratings on your websites. Because we want to provide you with full flexibility of all the available features, there are a lot of settings to understand.
We have two main options that both present unique ways of collecting and displaying reviews and/or ratings from your site. Widgets or Shortcodes.
Typically you will use the Shortcodes (vs Widgets) option when you want to collect and/or display reviews in the body of specific posts or pages on your website.
Within your Xagio >> Reviews >> Shortcodes Tab, you'll see a set of two shortcodes available for you to copy and paste into your posts and pages. You have the exact same amount of control with the shortcode as you do with the widget.
1.) [xag_reviews_widget]
Use this to collect reviews!
This shortcode can be copied and pasted to the body of any post or page on your website to display the reviews and/or ratings collection box.
alpha_mode - displays the Review Widget in transparent background mode. 1 for on, 0 for off.
popup_mode - displays the Review Widget in button Popup Mode. 1 for on, 0 for off.
stars_only - when set to 1 the function of this shortcode changes from a review (full written review) to a rating (stars only). This is especially beneficial to Schema properties such as "Article, Recipe or Blog Post" where a rating of the item is more appropriate than a written review.
2.) [xag_reviews]
Use this to display reviews!
This shortcode can be copied and pasted to the body of any post or page on your website to display the reviews and/or ratings you have collected.
aggregate_rating - shows average review rating and total left reviews. 1 for on, 0 for off.
random_reviews - displays random reviews on each page load. 1 for on, 0 for off.
limit_reviews - limits the number of reviews displayed. 1 for on, 0 for off.
limit_reviews_number - number of reviews to be displayed if limit_reviews is set to 1. Choose the number of reviews to be displayed.
